Enya pov
I wake up with severe pain in my side. I want to scream, cry, or even hiss in pain, but my father's voice echoes in my head and reminds me to hide everything I feel. I can't show any emotions or feelings. If I give in to my primal instincts, I will become weak. I tear open my eyes and feel that nothing has changed. The darkness that surrounded me a moment ago still surrounds me. The best guess would be that I woke up in the middle of the night. I lie still wherever I am- this is not my home or my room. It doesn't smell like leather, sweat, or the metallic scent of silver. Instead, I'm surrounded by a strong odour of oak trees and orange peel. Until now, I thought I was the only one whose room had a specific scent to it, but as it turns out, I couldn't be more wrong.
Slowly I try to sit up; perhaps this will help me to perceive my surroundings. I'm not trapped, for I haven't been sleeping on the floor, and none of my limbs have cuffs on them. Technically, I could run away, and nothing would stop me. I blink a few times to get used to the darkness and slowly make out the curves of the furniture. I am sitting on a couch; there's a bed directly in front of me and a small nightstand. This room seems to have a large window, probably a balcony, but the curtains are closed, so I can only assume. Aside from the little to no furniture, I notice three doors; one of them must be the exit, while the others are the bathroom and the closet. I think.
I almost jump up when a growl-alike sound erupts from where I noticed the bed. I squeeze my eyes and make out a figure on the bed. Someone's sleeping there. My hands instinctively pat down my legs to check if I still have a weapon on me. Whoever brought me here has my guns and knives. Ignoring the pain, I reach behind my back for the gun I slid behind the belt of my pants and mouth 'jackpot'. It's not the biggest gun I'd use, but it sure comes in handy when I need something for self-defence.
It takes a lot of effort to ignore the ever-increasing pain, but I manage to get to my feet and creep to the bed. My vision may be poor, but I know a monster man when I see one. I look at his massive form silhouetted against the blanket and shake my head. I have escaped death before; I might as well test the limits. Besides, if he wakes up and sees me awake, there's no telling what he'll do.
"Not the time to be afraid, Enya, you have been through a lot worse. Do it," I mentally scold myself and let go of any doubt within me. Like a panther approaching its prey, I choose my steps carefully. I place a hand on the bed and give it a little squeeze to see if the monster wakes up. No reaction. Next, I set the other hand and my leg on the bed and apply a little pressure. The mattress dips, but the beast still sleeps as if it were dead. "It's now or never, Enya, don't waste time!" I mentally scream at myself and leap on top of the monster. I sit on his hips, my legs on either side of his torso as I point my gun at his head. The pain in my side hits me harder than before, so I bite my lip and press a hand against it. Sometimes pressure helps as a short term solution to get rid of the pain. It doesn't matter how far I am from home, I will be back soon, and they will stitch me up there. And this monstrous man is my ticket to an easy exit.
Since my actions haven't woken him up, I poke his forehead with my gun and smile as he tries to turn his body on its side. Since I am sitting on top of him, it’s not as easy, so the monster slowly opens his eyes. I watch him with a murderous grin spreading across my lips. His reaction, however, is something I never expected. His eyes travel down my body and stop on his crotch. He stares at me for a few more seconds before his eyes move back to my face. Then, he mimics the same grin as mine and stretches his body. "Oh no, there's the Devil in my bed," he chuckles.
"Don't you dare to mock me!" I force my words through gritted teeth. He can't be serious - a hunter is pointing a gun at him, and he's acting as if this is a laughable matter.
My eyes follow his hands as he raises them. I'm sure he wouldn't just give up like that, so I try to focus on every sound in the room. "I wouldn't dare. Now, either get your ass back on the couch or get under the covers here- I don't care, but I need my beauty sleep. Judging by your looks, you need it more than I do, sweetie." Oh, wow, what a mature man he is - making fun of someone's appearance. Besides, I'm not ugly. I may not be the most stunning woman I have ever seen, but I'm definitely not ugly.
I let his words get to me and feel the anger boil up inside me. I grip the gun tighter in my hand and press it against his forehead with more force. He might think I'm joking, but there's nothing to joke about in this situation. "Oh, no, you are going to get me out of here."
The man winks at me and yawns. "No can do, sweetie." This level of disrespect is unheard of.
I have had enough. I push a finger against the trigger safety and groan as the sound echoes off the walls of the room. I've always found an inexplicable joy in shooting, and the sound is like music to my ears. In my mind, it had to work and make the monster think about the meaning of his life, but unexpectedly everything turned out differently. My moment of joy gave him enough time to grab my wrists and roll around. His body rests on top of mine. I stare at him with wide eyes as he quickly grabs the gun and tosses it away. "What the hell do you think you are doing?" I whisper-yell at him.
"Maybe I just want the Devil to hate me." I swear I can see a grin spreading across his lips. The kind of mischievous grin I'd love to smack right off his face. After a moment of silence, technically caused by my attempt to free myself from his grip, he adds. "Besides, as much as I admire the filthy sound that leaves your lips, I can't let you kill me, sweetheart." Ha, as if his words could sway my decision.
I continue to struggle against him, my wrists aching from his grip, but I ignore it as much as the pain in my side. He drops his body on top of mine so I can't move under his weight. Damn that filthy creature; now I'm going to have to shower for months to get rid of the stench. I hear him sniff something, and my body tenses. "Calm down, can you smell it? Wait, you are only human; of course, you can't. Who am I kidding? It's your blood, you moron. Stop struggling, or your stitches will snap!" The man growls in my ear. I despise the hint of dominance he's trying to impose on me. I am not a wolf or whatever creature they turn into, so his attempt to control me doesn't mean shit to me.
"Who gives a damn about stitches when there's a monster on top of them, dumbass?" I return the same energy. It's about the time when creatures like him understood that humans are not to be toyed with. I'm not a doll or someone he can scare. If only I could free myself from his grasp, I could try to pry on his throat, and if I did it fast enough, I could rip out his oesophagus.
He lowers his face and whispers. "You are an ungrateful bitch, aren't you? I saved your life, went against my pack to keep you alive, and now you act like this. Not only are you trying to kill me, but you are disrespecting me like a filthy rogue. Learn some manners, human. I wouldn't give a shit if you bled to death, but that won't happen in my bed. You have already bloodied the sheet enough. Besides, this bed is a magical place of pleasure and everything beyond that; I don't need the stench of death around me the next time I fuck someone." He chuckles, and I scrunch my face in disgust. "What's with the face, hunter? Are you angry that I wouldn't touch you unless I had to hold you down, huh? Are you a little upset because a monster mentions sex? Wait, don't tell me you wanted me to fuck you. Is that why you climbed into my bed in the middle of the night and straddled me? If that's what you want, why don't you open your filthy mouth and beg me to fuck you? Is that hard? Look at you; the adorable little hunter thinks she can handle a werewolf's cock. Isn't that cute? Keep in mind that waking up with a gun pointed at me is not my thing. Never been." He keeps spitting out nasty guesses. I raise my knee and almost hit his crotch. My action earns a low growl from the man as he presses his lips incredibly close to my ear. "Now, you're in for it, human.”
